The Fundamentals of Adobe Illustrator

1.1 Introduction
Hi, my name is Simona and welcome to Tuts+. And welcome to the Fundamentals of Adobe Illustrator. Being new to software can be discouraging, and as an artist you might stay away from learning a new program. This course will give you solid introduction to Adobe Illustrator, and it will walk you through the fundamentals of it. You will learn how to get started with basic shapes and lines, how to use the rebuild pencil tool, and how to use the almighty pen tool. And learn more about the new tool called curvature tool. Then you will learn how to create enhanced objects, special transform tools, use cutting tools, and how to apply colors and learn about some new features in Adobe Illustrator CC. You will also learn about the type tool and a new feature called Touch Type. And at the end you will know how to save your artwork for different mediums, and how to make a printout. I am pretty sure that at the end of this course you will be comfortable to use the program, and you might even want to learn more about it. So I am looking forward to walking you through the fundamentals of Adobe Illustrator and give you some insight into one of my favorite softwares for creating artwork. So let's get started.
