4.1 Conclusion

I hope you’ve learned a lot in this course, including some new tips and tricks that we used along the way in completing this particular piece. My name is Jonathan Lam and from all of us here at Tuts+ thanks for watching.

4.1 Conclusion

So with that last video, we've come to an end of The Concept Art Environment for Games course. And here is the final illustration. So my final bit of advice would be to try and get some outside input during and after you've completed your piece. A fresh set of eyes may see things that you would never have noticed or flaws that you would have been blind to, due to the fact that you have been sitting and viewing the same image for hours and hours. And don't just limit your critical feedback to people that are trained. People with no art experience can provide excellent feedback as well. I hope you've learned a lot in the demos and some new tips and tricks that we've used along the way in completing this particular piece, and stuff that you can apply into your own workflows. I hope you've learned some things that you haven't seen before in Photoshop that will aid you guys in completing your future paintings. So, yeah, definitely make sure that you guys have a go at creating those four or five gray scale value studies and just taking them into completion as a fully realized concept art painting. I had a lot of fun creating this piece. So thanks for watching and good luck with creating your own fantasy worlds. And hopefully I'll see you next time on Tuts+. Have fun, guys, and see you soon.
