3.4 Math

In this lesson, I want to review some basic math principles that anyone who’s making data graphics should know. You don’t want to get caught using fuzzy math, because no matter how flashy your design is, if the numbers are wrong or misrepresented, your going down.

So, you don’t have to have to be a math whiz to make information graphics, but it really helps to have a basic understanding of fundamentals like these. Not only will it help you analyze and contextualize your data, it can help you spot red flags in the data so you can double check it and find any errors.
