4.1 Conclusion
Hi, there, and welcome back to this final video. Let's recap the lessons learned in the restaurant menu template course. We started out by learning how to edit a restaurant menu template to get familiar with the setup. Envato Elements has a great library of templates that you or your clients can use, so it's worth checking out. In this course you learned how to set up a single menu card file. We've included three into columns so you can have a variation on the layout. You also learned how to set up a trifold brochure. With a simple equation we show you, you will be able to successfully set up a trifold brochure document. The pages panel and the master pages are very handy for this as you can group the panels into two spreads. That way, you can see the best way to design the trifold brochure. By using the Layers panel, Paragraph Styles panel, and Color swatches you were able to successfully set up both of our documents. Menu templates highly benefit from using guides to design a clean and cohesive layout. The Tables option is often overlooked in InDesign. And in this course, they worked as a backbone for the restaurant menu template. We used the tables for both the menu card and trifold brochure. And this makes it easier to input information in an orderly way. It also makes sure that everything is evenly spaced out. You also learned how to export a PDF file for professional printing. And last, how to package an InDesign file for distribution. So if you're planning on designing templates as assets, this is a great way to make sure that all the links are gathered in one place. And just as a reminder, make sure that if you're planning on distributing templates for profit, make sure that you can legally distribute the images and the fonts that you've included. We have created two awesome restaurant menu templates. They are both very different in style and feel for two different restaurants. From all of us at Envato, we hope you enjoyed this restaurant menu template course, and we'll see you on the next one.
