In this course, digital artist Brian Lee will break down the fundamentals of gesture drawing into several foundational topics. You will learn the importance of refining gestures into lines of action and simple shapes, creating strong silhouettes, effectively using negative space, and projecting ideas from a pose rather than just structural anatomy. Finally, you'll learn how to tell stories with different gestures. By the end of this course you should be able to draw any gesture you want.

After receiving a bachelors degree in “Media arts and Animation” and graduating with honors from AI (Santa Monica) I dove head first into the visual effects industry where I had the opportunity to work on a range of different feature films as a compositor, concept designer, matte painter, and even a stereo vfx supervisor. I traveled around the world working and training other artists and meeting amazing people along the way . Since then I have stepped back to work as a vfx freelance artist and started building my own creative brands and products to share with the world.
