In this quick tutorial, you'll learn how to make straight lines in Procreate. Doing this is a piece of cake, but figuring out how to draw lines in Procreate can be difficult if you're new to this software. Don't worry; we've got you covered. 

There are three methods to make straight lines in Procreate. Let's get started:

How to Draw a Straight Line in Procreate: Method #1

Stop wondering how to draw straight lines in Procreate. This method is the fastest and will make your life so much easier. 

Step 1

Go to Actions and turn on the Drawing Guide to get a 2D Grid on your canvas. This grid will be very useful for checking the alignment of your lines.

Turn on the Drawing Guide to start drawing straight lines in Procreate.

Step 2

Now, let's create some straight lines in Procreate. 

Begin drawing a line and hold your pen for a few seconds when you finish. You'll notice that your line straightens out right away. Feel free to place the line in the direction you want.

How to Make a Straight Line in Procreate: Method #2

This method is pretty similar to the first one but without using a 2D Grid. If you don't use a grid, it can be difficult to tell in Procreate if your straight lines look OK. That's why we'll use the following method to create straight lines in Procreate:

Follow the above steps to learn how to make straight lines on Procreate. Start drawing your line; hold the pencil to get your line straight. After that, tap the screen while still holding the pencil. 

By doing this, your line will automatically straighten and will move to the original direction where your line started.

The first line was drawn with an irregular and descending direction, as was the second, but here we applied the method from this section. 

How to Make a Straight Line in Procreate: Method #3

Go to Actions. Turn on the Drawing Guide and then tap on Edit Drawing Guide

Now go to the bottom right, and turn on Assisted Drawing

You'll be able to draw a perfectly straight line without doing much with your pen because of the Assisted Drawing feature.
