History and Characteristics of Brandon Grotesque
Brandon Grotesque is a geometric sans serif typeface inspired by the Art Deco fonts that were produced in the 1920s and 1930s. It was designed by Hannes von Döhren of HvD Fonts in 2005. The designer wanted to create a typeface that had a softness and warmth to it despite the font being geometrical. He achieved that by adding rounded corners.
The Brandon font has a small x-height that makes it elegant. The font also features a signature low waistline on a few capital characters, making it unique and relaxed. The rounded corners break the formality of the typeface and make it contemporary. The font Brandon Grotesque is neutral but still has a very distinctive character.
