1. How to Make a GIF in Photoshop From a Video
First of all, you need to open the video file that you want to convert. Press Control-O or go to File > Open, and select the file you want to convert.
When you convert a video to a GIF, Photoshop will increase the size of the file, because GIFs usually take up much more space. So we can decrease the canvas size of the video before exporting it to GIF format. Hit Alt-Control-I and change the size of the canvas to a smaller one.
After that, we can convert the video to a GIF Photoshop file. Go to File > Export > Save for Web or hit Alt-Shift-Control-S and select GIF. It could take some time before this panel opens.
This embedded free GIF converter from Adobe allows us to change the Colors, Web Snap and Lossy settings to reduce the file size, but don't forget that this will affect the look of your image.
Once you have finished with the settings, you can save them as a preset. Click on the icon in the top-right corner and select Save Settings.
And another little trick to save your last preset is to hold Alt and hit Remember. This could be useful if you want to save multiple GIF files.
And finally, all you need to do is press Save and select the place where you want to save your video.
