- Size 10mm crochet hook
- Scissors

Make a slip knot in the end of your jute twine.

Step 4
Fasten the last stitch into the third chain of your initial 3 chains with a slip stitch. Snip off the end of the twine, with approximately 8cm (3.5 in.) to spare.

Step 5
Weave the loose end into the back of your crochet work.

That's all the crochet done!

8. Add Some Colour
Step 1
Fold over a sheet of newspaper, to form a sharp edge to use as a mask over your crochet piece.
Step 2
Place the folded sheet across the crochet, at a 45 degree angle across the centre point.
Make sure you're either working outside, or in a well-ventilated area, that's very well covered in newspaper to prevent overspray! You might want to wear a safety mask, as well.

Step 3
Shake your spray can thoroughly, and following the directions on the can, spray paint the exposed jute section.

Hang Your Crochet Masterpiece
Hang your masterpiece on a small nail in a prominent position on your wall. You can create a beautiful vignette with vases, fresh leaves and ornaments.
