What You'll Need
To follow along with this tutorial, you'll need your own version of Adobe Photoshop. We will also be using stock images, fonts, and a logo for our fitness boot camp flyer template. Click on the links below to download them.
1. How to Create the Design Elements of the Fitness Flyer Template
When it comes to creating the design elements of the fitness poster template, it might be a good idea to plan out what you need to include. This will allow you to organise the template and give it a clear message that people can understand.
Examples of this may include:
- Logo and name placement that is consistent and shows the personality of your brand
- An eye-catching header to grab your viewers' attention and generate interest
- Information about what you offer, such as classes and fitness programs
- Any promotional offers you might want to include to persuade potential customers to join
- A call to action to get customers to interact with you in some way, such as contacting you via a phone number or email address
Now, let's divide our workout flyer template into sections. Use the Triangle Tool (U) to create a shape layer. Make sure to remove the stroke if it is selected and to use a fill color that matches your brand. For this example, we will be using the color
Use the Move Tool (V) and the Free Transform Tool (Control-T) to position it at the top of the bootcamp flyer design. This is where the logo will be placed.
Duplicate the triangle shape layer by right-clicking on it and choosing Duplicate.
Then use the Move Tool (V) and the Free Transform Tool (Control-T) to position the new triangle layer at the bottom of the fitness challenge flyer. This shape will be slightly bigger than the one at the top as it will be used to contain your phone number and website or email address.
Use the Rectangle Tool (U) to create a long rectangle for the title and name of the fitness challenge flyer. Use the same color that we used previously for the triangle shapes:
Make sure that the rectangle shape is selected, and then go to Edit > Transform > Perspective and move the left side down (or the right side up).
Once you are happy with the shape, place it near the top of the circuit training flyer.
Use the Rectangle Tool (U) to create a small white rectangle shape.
Then use the Move Tool (V) and the Free Transform Tool (Control-T) to rotate and position the new rectangle layer in the bottom left corner of the circuit training flyer.
Make sure that the shape layer is below the triangle layers. This is where the discount offer will be placed.
Use the Rectangle Tool (U) to create a much larger dark-grey rectangle shape. For this tutorial, we will be using the color
Use the Move Tool (V) and the Free Transform Tool (Control-T) to rotate and position the new rectangle layer in the bottom-right corner of the flyer.
Make sure that the layer is below both the triangle layers and the white rectangle layer. This is where the gym information will be placed.
Select all of the shape layers and group them (Control-G) into a folder called "Design Elements".
Right-click on the folder and select Blending Options. Then select Outer Glow and use the following:
- Blend Mode: Multiply
- Opacity: 35%
- Noise: 0%
- Technique: Softer
- Spread: 0%
- Size: 21%
- Range: 50%
2. How to Add a Logo and Text to the Fitness Flyer Template
Use the Pacer font from Envato Elements and type in your flyer title or name. Make sure that the text layer is above the "Design Elements" folder.
Then use the Free Transform Tool (Control-T) to rotate the text slightly to match the shape's design.
Create a new text layer and type "Call" to be placed on the bottom of the fitness boot camp flyer template.
Create a new text layer and use the Visby font to type in your phone number in Heavy and the website in Regular.
Create a new text layer and list all the available features of the gym.
The title "Open 24/7" is in Heavy Oblique using the color of your brand
e23255. The list is in Bold Oblique using the color white.
Create a new text layer for the discount, again using Heavy Oblique for the percentage number and Bold Oblique for the discount text. Use the color of your brand
Add your company logo at the top.
Select all of the text layers and group them (Control-G) into a folder called "Text".
3. How to Add Your Photos to the Flyer
Import one of your photos into Adobe Photoshop and place the photo layer below the "Design Elements" folder.
Use the Move Tool (V) to position your photo.
Use the Polygonal Lasso Tool (L) to select the parts of the photo you want to remove. Then hit the Delete button on the keyboard to remove them.
Import the second photo and repeat the steps above to complete your fit camp flyer.
Awesome! You're Finished!
Congratulations! And that's how you can create a fitness flyer in Adobe Photoshop. Feel free to replace the images and use other stock photos or your own to create your own gym flyer examples.
