How to Center Text in Cricut Design Space

If you struggle with words that aren't properly aligned and you'd like to know how to use the Cricut alignment tool, this is the tutorial for you! I'll show you how to align words in Cricut Design Space.

This tutorial is perfect for beginners to Cricut Design Space, even if you don't know anything about the program, and we'll cover how to center text on a shape in Cricut!

1. How to Align Words in Cricut Design Space

Let's see how to align words in Cricut Design Space. With your word selected, you will now be able to use the alignment feature. You can do this with text that has multiple lines or multiple separate text boxes. First, I am going to be working with text with multiple lines in the same text box.

Step 1

Here's some text I've added to an open project using the Text function. I am using this fun font, Winterland, from Envato Elements, which we'll use to align words in Cricut Design Space for this tutorial.

Step 2

Make sure you have the word selected, and you will be able to click on the Alignment button, and click Center.

Step 3

Congratulations, your text is now centered!

2. How to Center Text in Cricut Design Space

If you have multiple text boxes, the process is a little different, and I’m going to show you next how to center text in Cricut Design Space.

Step 1

Make sure to select all of the text boxes you have by clicking on the canvas and dragging the mouse across all of the boxes.

Step 2

Next, you click on the word Align.

Step 3

You will see many different options available, and you can align in so many different ways, but with the setup we have, we are going to click on Center Horizontally.

Step 4

You have now used the Cricut alignment tool to align your text in the center!
