1.1 Introduction
Hi, my name is Simona and welcome to Tuts+. And welcome to Mastering Color in Adobe Illustrator. Colors are powerful. We sometimes take them for granted and don't give much time to explore them more. But once you understand colors a bit better, and you will have a solid knowledge how to use them in Adobe Illustrator, you will be able to manipulate and put them to work. Colors can set a mood, change a mood, and communicate all sorts of things. This course will show you how to color your artwork in Adobe Illustrator, and how to be really efficient with it, and how it can spark your creativity. In this course we will explore the color models, the color panels from swatches to guides, and learn about color harmonies. Then we will learn what global colors are all about and how they can help us recolor your art on the fly. We also will learn about spot colors and how to create them. You will also learn how to create your own swatch groups, how to replace and merge swatches, and how to save your own custom libraries. Then we will learn how to use the Recolor Artwork panel, and how to have lots of fun with it. At the end of the course you will be creating some colorful art, and then you will color and recolor, and color and recolor. The sky is the limit.
