I love Community probably more than any other pop culture item out there today. So of course I had to make Troy & Abed's Mix-Tape. "Troy & Abed Made a Mix-Tape" would be filled with a little bit of indie rock sensibility mixed with some unabashed love for truly awesomely bad 80s and 90s songs.

Something funny from me as well :) I'm Ada and I'm computer graphics and animation student. I've been vectoring for more or less half a year.

And as for the concept, I just looked at my new Wacom Bamboo tablet and voila! :)

Avis Islamy

hei, I'm Avis, an Graphic Designer at Petshopbox Studio. This is my design for Vectortuts+ Cassette Design Challenge.

First, from UK, my favorite band since high school, yeah its Oasis with Champagne Supernova. Second, is National Sister Korea, IU. She so cute with amazing voice. The song is so sad, Love is like raindrop.

Barbara Lambert

Hi I'm Barbara Lambert, I'm new in Web Design and I've found my edge or so I've been told with Illustrator. I'm so squeaky new I had to look up Vector. The Jagged Edge speaks to me as I like all forms of music, with the exception of rap.

I'm Dies. I'm an illustrator from Petshopbox Studio.

HIM -- the band i'm representing, known as the "Love Metal." It has the spirit of a rock band with a little bit of feminine touch. Love, as well as heartache, always been a theme for this band's songs. Therefore I put a heart shape in the middle of the cassette design. Then I added few lines to cut the heart shape to remind of it's gory, and "a halo look alike" lines on the back of the heart shape to reminds it's glory. The curvy lines appears around the heart shape was an attempt to give the design an ornamental look, to bring the Finnish and gothic atmosphere, which are identical with the band's image. The colors black and pink are the color which represent the darkness and light, and also the feminine touch. I was inspired by the "Razorblade Romance" album cover, I consider the album has a strong image to represent the whole band. Something I did for fun, not really in 15 minutes, but it's a fun thing to do!

Hi, I'm Cho, a Junior Illustrator from Petshopbox Studio.

This is my cassette design's for Vectortuts+ Cassette Design Challenge. I'm making a cassette design for a Japanese Idol Group, AKB48's 27th Single entitled "Gingham Check".

The blue and white gingham check's pattern itself represent the song lyric which tell us about the indecision feeling when we love someone, blue represent yes and white represent no, they were crossing one each other.

I really love the song, you can try to listen the song here and you can also view the idols who sang the song wears a gingham check patterned outfit here.

They're so cute, aren't they…?

Renate Hugo Meyer

Hi my name is Renate!

I decided to go for the song 'Running up that hill' by Kate Bush. The idea I got for my design was that this song is very old, and I have heard it so many times over the years. So I made my casette looking as old and worn out as the song is to me, and what it would actually look like if I still had it. And since the song is so dear to me I'd do anything to keep it alive and together!

I am a 32 year old female and been using Illustrator for about 2 years now, as a hobby now, but hopefully I will be able to work with it in the future!

I only have my deviantart site where I got most of my vector images, at least the ones I am satified with.

I am currently attending Academy of Art University On line for a BFA in Graphic Design, I have been attending since January 2011,but I've been learning as I go so to speak. Before A.A.U I attended Cuyamaca Community College where I took some drawing and design classes as well. I had some excellent instructors at that college, who not only could teach, but they could create as well.

Inspired by Mariah Carey - We Belong Together.

Line Birgitte

Hello! My name is Line Birgitte and I'm a student and a freelance illustrator.

This is for the Tuts+ Workshop: Cassette Design. Got a short and energy boosting break from the piece I was working on! Great initiative, hope to see more of these.

I was listening to Jack Johnson "In Between Dreams" and wanted to illustrate that sort of tingly feeling you get when you wake up from a dream and can't really figure out if you're awake yet. The good part of that feeling. Then I remembered my favorite cassettes were the transparent ones and I thought it fit well with the feel as well.
